Obituary for Bradley James Huseby

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Bradley James Huseby on February 10, 2021 at
the age of 45. Brad was born June 16, 1975 in Rimbey, Alberta. At the age of 3 the family moved to
Mackenzie, BC where he grew up with his parents, brother and two sisters. Brad loved life and lived it
at full speed. He will be most remembered for his smile, huge laugh and always wanting the people
around him to laugh with him.
His younger years were spent playing hockey, lacrosse, hiking, camping, fishing, skateboarding, skiing
and snowboarding. Once he hit the slopes the mountains became his true passion. Summer and winter
he always said that the mountains were his happy place. He was a fearless skier where no mountain
was too steep or jump too high for him.
Brad spent his working years back and forth between Alberta and BC, never being able to call just one
home, he loved them both. He loved to meet people and make new friends along the way. Always
willing to try new things, his working career involved many different paths, all being outdoors. He
worked in the oilfield doing maintenance, pipelining, line locating, landscaping and operating
equipment.
Brad’s outdoor lifestyle gave him an outlet for his creative side. He could look at a rock and see beauty
in it. Over the years Brad collected many rocks and created some beautiful landscaping projects for
family and friends.
Brad is survived by his parents Tom and Marilyn Byers, brother Ryan (Kaitlyn, Colby, Henree, Logan),
sisters Christina and Dave (Jayden, Madisyn, Payton,) and Rhonda (Brooklynn, Jordyn), Grandpa Ernie
Nygaard, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and lifetime friends. Brad was predeceased by his
beloved Grandpa Ken, Grandma Bernice, Grandma Booher, nephew Gavin, and beloved aunts, uncles,
cousins and friends.
At this time there will be no service, the family hopes to plan a celebration of Brad’s life this summer. If
desired, Memorial Donations in Brad’s memory may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society at www.cancer.ca.
