Betty Marsh of Pine Lake, Alberta passed away peacefully, at her home, on Monday, May 1, 2023 at the age of 88 years. Betty was a beautiful and strong woman who will be deeply missed by many. She loved her home at Pine Lake and always enjoyed sitting out watching the birds and enjoying the sun. Betty’s home was a hub for her large family to come share a laugh, a cry, or a story. Betty loved her family dearly and truly cherished the time she spent with them, she had a very kind heart and was always there for the people she loved. Betty was better known as Nana to most, and she was always up for a good time. Everyone just wanted to be near her and her magnetic personality. Pine Lake will never be the same without her. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kerry (Lori) Marsh, Danny (Dana) Marsh, and Lori (Dean) Young, her grandchildren, Doug Hawkins, Dallas Marsh, China Marsh, Brittany Van Norman, Jenna Scott, Breanne Delorme, Nikki Buckley, Kaylan Marsh, Ashley Young, and Jessie Young, her great grandchildren, Blake Van Norman, Devyn Buckley, Riley Marsh, Jaxon Marsh, Brooklyn Delorme, Maddison Delorme, Abby Marsh, Ethan Marsh, and Link Vigar, her siblings, Ron Dancey, Dennis Dancey, Don Dancey, John Dancey, and Lynne Malin, and her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Kevin Marsh, her children, Brenda Van Norman, Beverley Marsh, and Dave Marsh, her grandchild, Jessie Marsh, and her brother, Ken Dancey. A Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held at the Pine Lake Hub Community Centre, 20, 36366 Range Road 252, Red Deer County, Alberta on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. A light lunch will be provided, and there will be an opportunity for guests to say a few words or share a story during this time, if desired. Alternatively, if anyone would like to write Betty a private letter, they will be placed with her at her final resting place. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
