Obituary for Andrew "Andy" René Keay

Mr. Joseph Andrew René Keay of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, June 26, 2020 at the age of 74 years.

Andy was born in Montreal, Quebec on December 13, 1945, growing up with three sisters. He dedicated his life to his family and his work. Andy was a First Responder for B.C. Search and Rescue, and Search and Recovery. He was a revered Tow Truck Operator with Mission Towing - his truck was called “The General”; and he also volunteered for the Fire Department.

Andy will be lovingly remembered by his children, Bill Eden (Donna Kennedy), Elizabeth Eden, Pamela Eden Lawrence, Ben Keay, and Diane Keay; his grandchildren, Hunter, A.J., Alex, William, Ashley, Allyssa, Cassie, Ryan, Blaine, Meghan, Frankie, Julie-ann, Courtney, Lindsy, Sidney, Crystal, Edward, James, Jessica, Harley; and fifteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Carole (Steve) Keay, Eric (Carrie) Keay, Cecile (John) Williams, Connie, Tina (Blair), Tim Bridges and Bill Bridges; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Andy was predeceased by his wife of fifty years, Catharine Keay; his parents; a son, Scott, a daughter, Gloria, a granddaughter, a sister, a niece, and many pets.

A Funeral Service will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 - 67A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.
