Mr. Roger James Young passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice on Friday, October 29, 2010 at the age of 69 years after a strong battle against pancreatic cancer. Roger was born on September 27, 1941 in Westlock, Alberta. He grew up in Westlock and spent his latter years in Edmonton and Sylvan Lake, finally settling with his wife in the city of Red Deer. Roger will be deeply missed by many, including his mother Hazel Young, wife Diana Gillespie, sister Ellen Coe, children Marisa, Tamara (Gord), Craig (Cindy) and Shawne Young, as well as seven grandchildren. Roger was predeceased by his father Harris Young. His family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Red Deer Home Care, the Red Deer Hospice Society, Dr. Ronald Smith and all friends of family for their wonderful care and support throughout the last few months of Roger’s life.
