It is with profound unimaginable sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mr. Ross Ira Simpson at Edmonton, Alberta on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the age of 71 years. Ross was a devoted husband and father. The love he had for his wife and children was beyond measure; his number one commitment was to his family, their health and their happiness. He was a dedicated Welding Instructor, was exceedingly proud of his students, and considered teaching a privilege. Ross routinely went above and beyond to help anyone who needed extra guidance, not only in school, but in life; he was always generous with his time and moral support. His reputation preceded him for his strong work ethic, his gift for gab, and his brilliant sense of humor. All who knew him, knew him to be an honorable man, a best friend, a source of inspiration to many and there are no words that adequately convey how deeply he will be missed. Ross will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda; his son, Robert; and his daughter, Chantel. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Lois Simpson; his stepfather, Bill Mann; and his grandparents, Ira and Mary Markel. A Celebration of Ross’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Ross’s honor may be made directly to a charity of the donor’s choice.
