Mrs. Leona Esther McElderry, beloved wife of Mr. Leonard McElderry, passed away at the Innisfail Health Centre, Innisfail, Alberta on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the age of 87 years. Leona grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan, until she married Leonard in May 1950. They shared sixty-nine years together and raised four children. Leona loved dancing, her crafts and gardening. She had a great sense of humor and was a very fun-loving person. Leona will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Leonard; their children, Kelvin (Andrea) McElderry and Kerry McElderry, both of Castlegar, British Columbia, Yvonne Crichton (Jack MacKenzie) of Barrhead, Alberta, and Connie Lang of Sylvan Lake, Alberta. She will also be fondly remembered by her eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; as well as numerous other family members and dear friends. Leona was predeceased by her mother, Elsie in 1979, her father, Floyd in 1983, nine older siblings and their spouses, two sons-in-law, a brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
