It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Margaret-Anne Plosz at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, after a valiant battle with acute illness on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at the age of 80 years.

Margaret-Anne was active in her church, having been a longtime member of the CWL (Catholic Women’s League), a Hospital Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the Social Justice Committee. She was a lady of gentle confidence, understated elegance, and wisdom. It was always time well spent to sit and talk with Margaret-Anne. She had the rare quality of a listening ear and a perceptive nature, which allowed her to hear and understand what you were not saying. She also had a strong sense of right and wrong, which she would, in her quiet way, make clear which path she thought you should take, while always respecting your freedom to choose. You would often find Margaret-Anne in the sunroom tending to her plants, while listening to CBC Radio; or she would be sitting reading a British mystery novel or furthering her already vast knowledge of flowers and horticulture.
Her kind and loving way of life will be an inspiration to all who knew her.
Margaret-Anne is the beloved wife and soulmate of David Plosz, devoted mother of Stephen (Jennifer) of Calgary, and Nancy (David) of Red Deer; and will be lovingly remembered by them, and her grandchildren, Kira, Roman, and Kelly. She will be sadly missed by her brother, Michael Kleiner (Nancy) of Calgary, her friends and extended family members. Margaret-Anne was predeceased by her father, Peter Kleiner and her mother, Elizabeth May of Calgary.
