Vic was one of the first persons I met when I moved to Red Deer eight years ago this week. His smile and handshake as I walked in the door at Sunnybrook United Church was very welcoming and warm. Later on met Vic through the Kiwanis Club of Red Deer of which i am now a member. Was very humbled when asked by Joyce to sing at Vic's funeral and considered it an honour to sing in memory of such a great person! RIP my friend and my thoughts and prayers are with Joyce and the entire family!

Dear Joyce and family...we are saddened to hear of Vic's passing. It is hard to forget his sense of humor, and boisterous big laugh! We enjoyed many genealogy sessions as well as fund raisers and lots of basketball at Lindsay Thurber the years our sons played together. We hope you gain strength from your many family and friends in these sad days. Carole & Morris Scriven, Jason and Suzanne in Victoria BC

Kevin, Bruce told me about you relating the story about the tractor and the side of the building back in the Big Red days. I recall that at the time it wasn't all that funny! We did have some good times. Thankfully we can laugh about them all now. Your Mom will remember my shooting out your basement window too. Not so funny then, or now...
My deepest sympathies at the loss of your Dad. He will be missed. Always a smile on his face and a kind word for all.
