On Sunday, February 10, 2019, The Lord took unto himself our precious mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, Barbera Hoogstra. Barbera was born in Middelstum, Groningen on June 11, 1923. She and Max Hoogstra were married on October 23, 1942. They were blessed with seven children, their spouses and families. Barbera will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ena (Hoss) Hammer, Mary (Bill) Soepboer, Caroline (John) Folkerts, Max (Betty) Hoogstra, Klaas (Jean) Hoogstra and Wes Bylsma and Wilbur Linker. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Max Hoogstra and daughters Sadie Bylsma, and Hattie Linker . A Memorial Service will be held at Redeemer United Reformed Church, 4519 – 46 Avenue, Lacombe, Alberta on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com.
