Over the years, they lived in New Norway, Buck Creek, Calmar, Violet Grove, Kindersley, Eckville, Lloydminster and Stettler, but finally returned to Eckville, the place they called home. After the loss of his wife of sixty-five years, he enjoyed a brief stay at the Eckville Manor House, and then transferred to the Leduc Extendicare, where he was close to many family members until his passing.Laverne will be lovingly remembered by his son, Wayne (Frances) Lange), his daughter, Donna (Laurent Labonte), his sisters Nita Sheppard and Judy Robinson, his brother, Ray, seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.Laverne was predeceased by his wife, (Rozalma), his parents, (Fred and Annie Weidman), his brothers (Arden, Garry, Elvan, Donnie and Ivan), his sisters (Betty-Lou Labrequeand Darlene Wytyshyn), a nephew, (Johnny Wytyshyn) and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
