Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Margaretha Ten-Hove can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I first met Marg when she started working at the Bank of Montreal in Calgary after arriving in Calgary along with her cousin Tina. We were both single and became good friends which has lasted throughout the years. We shared our marriages, living in close communities in Calgary, she and Ed in Fairview and Bill and I in Acadia. Bill and I along with our two daughters moved to New Zealand in 1970 and our friendship continued with lengthy letters where we put the world to right and shared all of our life experiences. I count Marg as one of my dearest friends and receiving the phone call from Ed advising us of her passing filled us with sadness. Our thoughts and love are with Ed and the their family as Marg is laid to rest today. RIP Marg you really were someone very special who had great courage and loved by many. xx

Condolence: Margaret Ten-Hove - as I knew her
I met Margaret and Evert Ten-Hove in 2010 in their house in Red Deer - A warm loving couple in a house impregnated with serenity in spite of all difficulties related to pain, illness or aging - A fragile women with an incredible internal strength - and I had the feeling our souls somehow became connected at once. Their son, Gary, and my daughter Anna were just friends than, but we looked at them, smiled, and before leaving I thanked Margaret for raising such a wonderful son - and she smiled again tenderly. Next year our children married and she happily made a terrible effort to be there at the wedding party, and all upcoming events - gently smiling, fragile, but supportive. In the next years her condition worsened - she never complained, but her mind and soul were more and more rolling away - My deep sympathy to the whole family - losing a beloved person is a terrible pain - but we all know, Margaret is with us/in us forever
