Obituary for Robert Charles "Robbie" Brooks

BROOKS, Robert Charles
1970 – 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Mr. Robert “Robbie” C. Brooks in Red Deer, Alberta, on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the age of 48 years. Robbie was born on January 14, 1970 in Williams Lake, British Columbia. His family moved to High River in 1972, where he spent his childhood and young adult life growing up amongst a large extended family and many friends. Robbie eventually moved to Red Deer, Alberta, where he met his one true love, Anabelle, in 2009. He was a gentle, kind soul and loving dedicated partner and step father. He was always a loyal son who loved his mom with all his heart and possessed her sense of humor. He loved the outdoors and hunting. Prior to his passing, Robbie worked for Terroco Industries. He was a hard worker, whose immense pride never allowed him to take the easy way out. He was skilled at tackling any job that needed to be done, including renovating his home, which was his pride and joy. Robbie leaves to mourn, his fiancé and love of his life, Anabelle; and his step daughters, Jewel (Jordan) and Nikki. He is survived by two brothers, Glenn Bruton and Allan (Jessica) Brooks and family; sister, Lynne Purdy; nephew, Gord (Karla) Purdy; and uncles, Tom (Vera) Allan, Bob Allan and Ron Allan, as well as numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Charlotte Brooks. Robbie will be sadly missed by his family, friends, co-workers, and Christian Congregation at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. It is with great love and sorrow that we hope this next journey finds you with your mom, and all those who left before you. May you be at peace. A Celebration of Robbie’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67A Street (Taylor Drive) Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. If desired, memorial donations in Robbie’s honor may be made directly to www.worldvision.ca or to a charity of donor’s choice.
