Mrs. Eileen Bessie Hansen passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the age of 90 years. Eileen was born on June 13, 1927 at Innisfail, Alberta. She went to school at Hecla, and rode horseback to school. She met Clifford Hansen and the couple married on June 22, 1947. They farmed in the Eckville, Alberta District for many years. Eileen enjoyed cooking, growing roses and quilting. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Colin (Ruth) Hansen of Eckville, Alberta, her daughter, Colleen (Patrick) Moran of Calgary, Alberta and granddaughters, Jess (Jerry) of Eckville, Alberta and Jolene (Jennifer) of Calgary, Alberta; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Clifford and a grandson, Ryan Moran. A Funeral Service will be held at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Innisfail Cemetery, Innisfail, Alberta.
