Condolence From: Brenda Clark
Condolence: On behalf of Beta Sigma Phi Red Deer City Council, we would like to express our condolences. She was honoured as our Lady of the Year several years ago for all her work in the community. She was a gracious and deserving lady. Our thoughts are with you.

Condolence: To all the family I send my sincere and caring thoughts. Dot was a wonderful gal and I suspect she never backed down from anything she truly believed was the truth. She was indeed a "Force" and we have missed her at Sunnybrook Church. Molly

Condolence: I was a young Physiotherapist working at the Red Deer General Hospital 40 years ago. I did not know Dorothy as a working nurse, but as head nurse on the Medical ward, where she ran 'a tight ship'. I remember hearing her berate, (several times,Doctors. "No you need to do ....NOW". not now, but NOW! I will never know if the Doctors were just pulling her chain, but the action got done.
Recently, Dorothy was one of my favourites at Rosefield. She recognized me, not who I was, but someone familiar. I would introduce myself and tell her that I worked with her when she was in charge. She would grin her toothy smile, and hold and kiss my hand, ever so gently. She gave an extra(or 3or4)squeezes, when she gave me a hug. She could not speak, but she 'asked' why I was on crutches, or grabbed the hem of a bright colour blouse I might be wearing. She liked my rainbow coloured shoes with the yellow laces.
She was at her best at the end of the afternoon, and would reach out to me as I was on my way off the unit. I would tell her what I was off to do that evening or weekend. She would wish me on my way.
Rest in Peace Dorothy.

Condolence: I worked with your mom over 40 years ago at the Red Deer hospital and still remember what a kind and wonderful lady she was. I was a very young girl who worked in the admitting department and she treated me with so much kindness. What a lady!! Someone I will never forget. So sorry for your loss.

Condolence: Dear Ray, Mary-Lou and family

You are in my heart at this time of sadness. I know your mom instilled great compassion and caring in you all. Mothers play such an important part in a child's life - they are your anchor. May all of your wonderful memories carry you forward.

Sincerely

Val
