Obituary for Derek William Evans

Derek William Evans
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Derek William Evans of Red Deer, Alberta, after a long struggle with diabetes, on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the age of 40 years. Derek was born on April 29, 1977 at Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Derek was a good man; he worked hard and loved his family. He made everyone laugh, and he was a wonderful cook. He adored his two dogs, Stuart Little and Abby. He loved hockey, fishing and camping with his family and friends. Derek enjoyed his work, he had been a dedicated employee and very proud of his position at Rebel Energy Services for the last ten years. Most inspiring to everyone is that Derek had a wonderful generous spirit and he was always ready to help others. He is tremendously loved, and will forever be deeply missed by all that knew him. Derek will be lovingly remembered by his four children, Chelsea Evans, Gage Whitmore, Mackenzie Whitmore, and Brendan Polson. He will also be very sadly missed by his loving family: his mother, Terry Lowe; his father and step mother, Lyle and Denise Evans; his siblings, Barb (Chris) Zager, Heather (Russ) Adams, Dylan Smith, Tanis Smith, and Chad (Deanna) Evans, his grandmothers, Edna Beecher and Florence Day; his nieces and nephews, Travis Pipke (Laney), Kaytlin Evans, Jordyn Klug, Darian Zager, Demarion Berard, Ava Adams, Madison Smith, Brook-Lynn Evans and Taylor Evans; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
