It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. William Louis ‘Bill’ Thibault of Red Deer, Alberta, on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the age of 68 years. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Barb of Red Deer, Alberta; their children, Brent Thibault, Katrina Leslie and Brennan Leslie. William Louis Thibault was born April 30, 1949 in Castor, Alberta. He and his brother Ken were raised on the Halkirk Farm by their loving parents, Hazel and Louis. After graduating, Bill worked for the RCMP and as a carpenter before he met and married Barbara, the love of his life, and they shared this great love with their three children.
Bill lived life with a smile, a joke and a warm heart. He appreciated the small things in life, like sitting outside and listening to the birds, watching the mountains on the horizon and being with family. He loved to golf, barbecue, play cards, camp and make others laugh. Bill cherished his career and the many people he worked alongside over the years. He had many friends and he loved to spend time with them and help them anyway he could.
The way Bill lived his life full of love and happiness profoundly influenced all of us. He will be greatly missed and always remembered. Bill will always be in our hearts.

A Celebration of Bill’s Life was held at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
