Obituary for Shirley Irene MacGregor

Mrs. Shirley Irene MacGregor of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the Northcott Care Centre, Ponoka, Alberta on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the age of 92 years. Shirley was born at Seattle, Washington and raised at Edmonton, Alberta. After her marriage to Ian, they lived throughout Western Canada; as well as London, England and Jamaica. She and Ian retired at Shuswap Lake, and enjoyed making many family memories there. Shirley was tenacious, witty, a great cook, and was well loved. Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her children, Barbara (Dr. Joseph) Hopfner of Red Deer, Alberta, Carol (Tim) Ottosen of Edmonton, Alberta and Roderick MacGregor of Ponoka, Alberta; her grandchildren, Laurel, Carla and Meaghan Hopfner, David and Sam Ottosen, and Charlotte Cattanach; as well as her great grandchildren, AJ, Caelee, Sarah, Jaime, Casper, Ben and Ian. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Ian Murdoch MacGregor. A Family Service will be held at a later date, at Shuswap Lake, British Columbia.
