Obituary for Aileen Pearl Hobbs (Hobbs)

HOBBS, Aileen
1926 – 2015

Aileen Pearl Hobbs of Red Deer, Alberta passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, at the Red Deer Hospice on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the age of 88 years. During the 1970’s, Aileen attended College and received her qualifications for employment with the Michener Centre. She continued to work with the residents of Michener Centre at various group homes for over ten years. Aileen will be fondly remembered by her many friends and customers at the markets, where she was known as the “Honey Lady”. Aileen will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Mark and Kelvin Medinsky of Red Deer and her grandsons, Steven (Mary) of Red Deer, Michael of Calgary and Coren and Janson, both of British Columbia. She will also be sadly missed by a sister, Leone Richardson of Red Deer, a brother, Eugene (Stania) Hobbs of Calgary and a nephew, Lee (Judy) Davies of Red Deer. Aileen was predeceased by her father, Alvus in 1957, her mother, Abby in 1991 and a brother, Rodney Hobbs in 1966. Many thanks to the Doctors and staff at Unit 31, Red Deer Hospital, for the great care my mother, Aileen, received. Heartfelt thanks also to the staff at the Red Deer Hospice for the wonderful care given to my mother in her last days. – Mark and family.
