Obituary for Maxwell 'Max' Naaman Hiscock

It is with profound sadness and heartbreak that we announce the passing of our amazing father and best friend, Mr. Maxwell ‘Max’ Naaman Hiscock in Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the age of 60 years. Max was born on February 11, 1958 in Grand Falls, Newfoundland and moved west to Red Deer in 1979. He was one of those incredible people, who as soon as you met him, you instantly loved him. He had many dear friends everywhere he went. Max always knew how to make you laugh. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2013 and came through with flying colours until April 2018, when the cancer returned. Max fought hard and was our Superman; until he just became too tired to fight. Max will be lovingly remembered by his spouse, Colleen; sons, Greg and Andrew; stepsons, Chad (Melissa) and Chase (Sheryl); stepdaughter, Elyse and step grandchildren, Kate, Max and Boden. He will also be deeply missed by his brothers, Harry (Alayne) and Gordon (Diana); sisters, Marg (Gord) and Rolinda (Bill); sisters-in-law, Gloria, June (Neil), Shelly (Dave); brothers-in-law, David and Brian (Barb) and numerous nieces and nephews, that he made sure were a part of his life. Max was predeceased by his wife and the mother of his two beautiful sons, April; his parents, Ray and Jessie Hiscock; a brother, George and his mother and father-in-law, Norm and Mary Steele. A Celebration of Max’s Life will be held at CrossRoads Church Sanctuary, 38105 Range Road 275, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Following the service, everyone is invited to join the family at JJ’s Kitchen, 1927 - 50 Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta to continue sharing memories of Max. If desired, Memorial Donations in Max’s honour may be made directly to The Tom Baker Cancer Foundation at www.albertacancer.ca/tom-baker-cancer-centre.
