Obituary for Phillip Alexander "Phil" Meeres

It is with great sadness that the family of Mr. Phillip ‘Phil’ Alexander Meeres of Red Deer, Alberta announces his passing at the Red Deer Hospice on Friday, February 9, 2018 at the age of 70 years. Phil was born October 23, 1947 in Toronto, Ontario to Alexander and Iris Meeres. Phil was a lover of family, friends, old cars and motorcycles. Phil will be lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty-two years, Donna Meeres; daughters, Diana (Blair) and Nadine (Darren); grandchildren, Alexander, Alexis, Mackenzie, Paige, and Nevaeh; and great grandchildren, Kale and McKenna. He will also be sadly missed by his sister, Ann Hyndman and special niece, Kim Stewart; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Dr. Hopfner, Unit 32 Palliative Care, and the Red Deer Hospice for guiding Phil on his final journey home. A Celebration Of Phil’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Phil's honor may be made directly to the Red Deer Hospice at www.reddeerhospice.com.
