Obituary for Hanna-Lore Rubrecht (Schuller)

Hanna-Lore Rubrecht (Schuller)
There was a joyous reunion in Heaven on Sunday, October 29, 2017, as our beloved Oma, Mrs. Hanna- Lore Rubrecht was reunited with our Opa, the love of her life. Also waiting for her at the Pearly Gates were her son, Andrew, her sister, Ruth, her parents, Kurt and Elsbeth Schüller and her in-laws, Adolf and Gertrud Rubrecht. Oma was born in Lübtheen, Germany on August 21, 1929. As a child, she moved to Brunswick, Germany. At the age of twelve, she attended Confirmation, where she met Günter Rubrecht. They started dating two years later. After that, there was never anyone else for either one of them. They were married June 30, 1951 and soon had a son. In July 1956, Günter (our Opa) immigrated to Canada and established a foundation for a new life. Oma joined him three months later. In Canada, Oma gave birth to two daughters. Oma followed Opa everywhere. They first settled in Calgary; later Opa’s job required moving to Medicine Hat, and eventually to Red Deer. Oma was totally devoted to Opa and took great pleasure in sharing many activities with him. They enjoyed traveling and exploring new places, first with their children and later on, by themselves. Oma loved shopping, especially for clothes. She also deeply loved her children, grandchildren and eventually her great grandchildren. Oma will be mourned and fondly remembered by son, Eckhard (Darlene) Rubrecht, daughters, Margaret (Robert) Stroh and Marlis (Bob Belzerowski) Rose; grandchildren, Matthew (Terra) Stroh, Kristine (Joel Douglas) Rubrecht, Richard (Whitney) Rubrecht, Erin (Kelly) Eresman, Tyler (Chelsea Beaudry) Rose, Janice (Lee) Worrall, Jennifer Stroh, Brooklyn Belzerowski, Vanessa Belzerowski, and Katrina Belzerowski; as well as ten great grandchildren. A Celebration of Oma’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com. Arrangements in care of Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer. 403.340.4040.
