REES-KATO, Jane Eileen
February 23, 1949 – October 2, 2017
Jane was born at Eckville, Alberta. Her love of art grew, as she did in Red Deer. She lived in Edmonton, Calgary, and Saitama-ken, Japan, and passed away in Red Deer. Jane is survived by her husband, Yoichi Kato, brother, Walter Rees, sisters; Mary Ann Steele, and Brenda Funk, sixteen nieces and nephews, twenty one great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece . She is also survived by Yoichi’s mother, and his brother. Jane was pre-deceased by her parents Elmer and Isabel Rees, and sister, Margaret Rees. A Memorial Service will be held at The Centre for Spiritual Living, 6315 Horn Street, Red Deer Alberta on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. In memory of Jane’s vibrant personality, please wear bright colors. If desired, Memorial Donations in Jane’s honor may be made directly to the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, care of Unit 32 at www.rdrhfoundation.com/donate-now, or to the Red Deer Hospice Society at www.reddeerhospice.com.
