Obituary for Camryn Paige Judson

Camryn Paige Judson
With joy and anticipation, our beautiful daughter, Camryn Paige “Cami” Judson, entered our lives and hearts on February 12, 2004 in Red Deer, Alberta. From the moment of arrival until now, she was both a tenacious and highly sensitive soul. At the age of 13, she died peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2017, surrounded by love both near and far. She was loved beyond measure by her father, James Donald Judson, her mother, Cheri Janette Morrison Judson, her older brother, Mitchell Dean Morrison, and her little sister, Madelyn Faith Judson, who adored her in ways only sisters understand. She was also loved by her Grandparents, Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and many Friends. Cam was born with the gift of compassion and provided us with a lifetime of Joy and Happiness. Her energy filled the house, and she was often singing in the shower, car, and various places around our home. She did not like to be alone or quiet; the “why” phase was never over with Cam. She had many passions and was excited about the endless opportunities the world had to offer her. She vacillated between becoming a child psychiatrist or a chef, depending upon the mood of the day. She wanted to do it ALL: climb mountains; jump off buildings; visit the ocean; travel; and more. More than anything, Cam wanted to love and be LOVED. Cam had a wicked sense of humor, and loved movies, music and make-up. She was deeply moved by poetry. She was curious, adventurous, athletic and very intelligent. We often called upon Cam to make family birthday cakes and she would gladly consent while definitely noting, “I will only make it from scratch”. Hockey has been a big part of her life for the past 8 years, and she received the heart and hustle award often. She was developing into quite the scrappy player, and in her first year of Pee Wee she led the team not only in points, but also penalty minutes. We always knew Camryn would accomplish the most amazing things. We never dreamed those things would include tissue and heart valve donations. Cam was just that incredible and her legacy will live on, giving someone else the gift of love and life. We are comforted that her spirit will live on in the hearts and minds of the people she touched. We are sad but will not despair, because we also lift her up to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
“Fear not, for I have called you by name, you are mine.” Isaiah 43:1
