Condolence From: Jim Armitage
Condolence: Marie's family has lost a mom, a gramma and a great friend. We have all lost a great friend. When I read Janice's text this morning informing me of Marie's passing I was so sad. As I am now. Nothing like a good cry at 6:00 in the morning to remind me of what really matters. We know Harry's waiting. I'm betting Harry can't wait to have his lunch ready everyday again at noon. That in itself says so much about Marie. A giver of her time, her efforts and her love of her family. She adored her family. There are so many examples of Marie going the extra mile. All those trips to Lacombe to help Carla out when Chantal was young. Which reminds me of Marie being such a good sport when I was telling her a story. On one of her many trips to Lacombe she got a speeding ticket. I asked her if the cop swiped her plate by reading the bar code to which she gave me that puzzled look that she was more than capable of giving you. What bar code?? She replied that the cop had gone to the back of her car and then I informed her that he would have swiped her plate because of her excessive speed. And by doing so they now knew where she was all the time when she was driving. I also suggested to her that there was a way to get around speeding tickets and that was to buy a speeding ticket seasons pass. I told her that I had one and that you just had to go down to the cop shop and buy one for $250. She bought into that story initially but over time she called my bluff. We have all had the pleasure and the privilege of knowing you Marie. The time I got to spend with you will forever be a part of my fabric. Sending you love and one last hug Marie. RIP.
