Mr. Brandon Shannon of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the age of 38 years. Brandon Gregory Shannon was born on November 16, 1977 at Consort, Alberta to Greg and Marianne Shannon. He moved with his family to Sylvan Lake when he was eight years old, where he made his life over the next thirty years. Brandon loved being a father to his kids, Aline and Daniel, and an uncle to his niece, Kyra. They all brought him so much joy. Brandon enjoyed playing ball hockey, rugby, curling, slow pitch and hockey. He had a great passion for everything to do with hockey and was a true Edmonton Oilers fan! Brandon had a good heart and he was always willing to help those around him. He loved to make jokes and had a great sense of humor. We all will miss Brandon very much.

Brandon will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Greg and Marianne Shannon; daughter, Aline Shannon; son, Daniel Shannon; sister, Amanda Shannon; niece, Kyra Shannon; and grandparents, Joseph and Eileen Neumeier, and Ann Shannon. Brandon was predeceased by his grandfather, Harold Shannon.
