Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Rudolph "Ross" Shinski can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Bev Gilbert Haverstock
Condolence: Murray,Blair,Barb,Garth and families. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. I also remember the great rink behind your house with the hill that we slid on. The only problem was your darn dog Tobby would always be waiting at the bottom to grab us by our ankle and how your dad laughed at this. The community rink down the street that all of our mom and dad's made so we could all be together close to home was always the neighborhood pride and joy. Whenever I would see your dad later in life be it having a beer at Houston"s on a Saturday afternoon or were ever he always greeted me with a bear hug, a huge smile and a laugh. Thinking of all of you at this sad time. Treasure the special memories of your dad as we the neighbor hood kids from 20th Street and area do! Hugs Bev

Condolence: 50 years ago in Brandon Ross always made the "best" backyard rink in the city for all of us kids to enjoy. He worked tirelessly at it and even built a Super style rink down the block on an empty lot one year. How much work that must have been. Boards, lights, the whole deal. We had so much fun every winter. The best part was the rink at the back of the house had a clothesline pole made of steel 4 feet in from the back fence. The odd rookie forgot about it with their head down on a rush. They only did that once though! Rest in peace "Mr. Shinski". You were a good man.
