While our hearts are saddened with her passing, we rejoice that she is now in the company of our Lord and Savior. Hendrika was born in Schettens, Holland and immigrated to Canada following her marriage to Menno in 1954. They settled in Red Deer Alberta where they raised their 6 daughters. Hendrika is survived by Merle, her loving husband of 61 years and her children, Grace, Renita, Arlene, Evelyn, Jeannette (Rob) and Shelley (John). She was a very special grandmother and Beppe. She will also be missed by many dear friends and extended family members here and in Holland, Ontario and the USA. A Memorial service to be held at the First Christian Reformed Church, 16 McVicar Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Memorial Donations can be made directly to the Red Deer Hospice Society.
