George Martin Phillips of Red Deer, Alberta passed away while surrounded by his family and friends on April 20, 2015 at the age of 86 years. George leaves to mourn his wife of 60 years, Henrietta; children, Cheryl (Bob) Kearns, Debbie Lodeon (Clarence) and Bonnie (Wayne) Soderquist; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Mike (Hazel) and David (Cora); sister, Hazel (Frank) Welder; many extended family; and his friends and family from the Michener Hill ExtendiCare. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Kate; and his many siblings. A Memorial Service will be held at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made in George’s name to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta at www.heartandstroke.ab.ca
