The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Albert Smith can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Francis and Maureen Ives
Condolence: Dear Evelyn,
I was thinking of you today and thinking of all our visits while you lived in 84th Ave. S.W. Calgary.
A year is gone since Norm's passing. We always enjoyed having you for a neighbour. There are many changes in the neighbourhood now. Very few of us 'old timers' still living on this street. Thinking of you with love and sympathy and wishing you all the best, Evelyn. Francis and Maureen Ives

Condolence: I worked at Clinic Pharmacy where Norm was a customer....after being there for years and getting to Norm a bit, I finally said to him that every time he walked in the door of the pharmacy I wanted to yell "Norm" like on the show Cheers. He just laughed at me but from that day on when he walked in the door, I would yell "Norm"...he would just laugh and the rest of the customers thought we were crazy!! Deepest condolences to Evelyn and his family and friends...he will be truly missed I am sure of that.

Condolence From: Jack and Shirley Smith
Condolence: Even though Norm was 7 years older than me, we were good friends from the time we were kids. Norm and his family often visited our family on the farm near Zenith. Later, when Shirley and I visited Calgary and subsequently moved to that city we shared many wonderful times with Norm, Evelyn and our respective children. After we moved to Mississauga, on visit to Alberta, we always made time to visit Norm and Evelyn in Red Deer to try and win at least one crib game during our visit. We were especially glad to have Norm and Evelyn visit us in Mississauga even though Norm was a reluctant air traveler.

So we extended our sincere condolences to you Evelyn and all of your family. We will miss Norm but as Lance said "I'll have a crib partner next time I see him"

Rest in piece Cousin.

Condolence From: Larry & Jacquie
Condolence: Although we did not know Albert personally, we wanted to express our deepest sympathy and condolences to all family members and friends who are grieving at this time. It’s hard to know what to say at times like this, but please find comfort in what it says at John 5:28&29: “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life.” Imagine the joy of welcoming back our loved ones in a future resurrection - back to life as promised in that bible verse. Till then, it's like they are “sleeping.” (Please read John 11:11-14) We hope that these verses comfort you as you as they have also comforted us.
Take Care.
Larry & Jacquie
