Obituary for Joy Ann Clarke (Tambour)

Joy Ann Clarke (Tambour)
Joy Ann Clarke Tambour of Blackfalds, Alberta, formerly of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away peacefully with her husband and daughter at her side, on Monday, September 8, 2014 at the age of 51 years. Joy was born on December 15, 1962 at Hay River, Northwest Territories. She moved to Edmonton, Alberta in 1978 and gave birth to her pride and joy, Christine in 1982. In 1984, she moved to Red Deer where she met her husband, Kelly Clarke. They were married on June 29, 1998 at Hay River, Northwest Territories. Joy spent her working years in Customer Service in Red Deer, Alberta. She was also the friendly voice of Central Alberta Tree Trimming Services, alongside Kelly. She took pride in being a mother and grandmother. Joy was a friend to all that knew her, making friends wherever she was and loved all kinds of people, from all walks of life. Joy will be remembered as the most beautiful, compassionate, loving, funniest woman. From people to pets and even insects, Joy never wanted to hurt a soul. She spent most of her life looking after everyone. She absolutely loved and doted on her grandson, Thomas, who was the sparkle in her eyes. She loved to dance; she was always singing, dancing and clapping. Joy loved music and entertaining people; she could often be heard playing the harmonica, guitar, spoons or just singing away. She loved to cook and loved her home, and loved shopping. We will miss her for the rest of our lives, her laughter and love will forever be a part of our hearts and minds. Joy will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Kelly Clarke, daughter, Christine Tambour (Barrie) and grandson, Thomas Tambour. She will also be sadly missed by her sisters, Florence (Tambour) Pourtakin, Verda Tambour, Doreen Tambour and Rose Tambour, her brothers, Elvis Tambour and Glen Tambour, as well as her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Joy was predeceased by her parents, Corine Tambour and Peter Baluk and brother, Kenneth Reimer. We encourage you to attend her Memorial Service being held at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Joy’s honor may be made directly to the Canadian Liver Foundation at www.liver.ca or to the Red Deer & District S.P.C.A. at www.reddeerspca.com.
