Robert Charles "Bob"  Fujczak

March 11, 1946 - October 2, 2013

Robert Charles "Bob" Fujczak of Red Deer passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the age of 67 years. He will be loving remember and sadly missed by his wife, Marlaine; his son Robb (Sharon); his daughter Katrina; his two precious grandchildren Samantha and Ryley all of Red Deer; his Mother, Hazel Buckingham of Bluffton, Alberta; his sisters; Vivian (Al) Brissette of Calgary, Alberta, Brenda (Romeo) Denomme, Pauline (John) Foss all of Bluffton, Alberta; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves to mourn his sisters-in-law, Michele Prentice of Massena, New York and Marcia (Dan) McGowan of Kingston, Ontario and Beverley O'Prey of Wooler, Ontario. He was predeceased by his father, Michael Fujczak, step-father, Walter Buckingham; his brother, Clarence Fujczak; his brother-in-law, Robb O'Prey and his mother and father-in-law, Bob and Grace O'Prey. Bob joined the Canadian Armed Forces as a proud Canadian at the age of 20 years, this pride and dedication to his country continued until his retirement. Because of his chosen career his was able to live in many parts of the Canada. Starting in Ontario at Clinton and then Kingston, where he met the love of his life, Marlaine O'Prey. They were married and their first child, Katrina was born in Kingston then the small family was next stationed in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, where his son, Robb was born. The family then moved to Sioux Lookout, Ontario, Cold Lake, Alberta, Nanaimo, British Columbia, Borden, Ontario, back to Cold Lake and finally retiring in Innisfail, Alberta. They recently moved to Red Deer to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Because of the many moves, Bob and his family were blessed to have many good and dear friends all over Canada. He remained in contact with them right up until his death. A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ed Mangham, officiating. Interment will take place at Alto Reste Cemetery, Red Deer following the funeral service.
