Condolence: Gary was very supportive of me when I needed advice in figuring out the complicated Social Planning funding and financial records at The City of Red Deer. He never made me feel that any question was too trivial. He usually had a cartoon or a joke or a story. And he always had time to brag about the family he loved so much. Condolence: I wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss, but also to say how wonderful it was to have Gary as part of our life. He left such an imprint on my heart. He had the biggest heart, the best laugh and was the bravest person I know. He will be deeply missed.

Condolence: We have lost a great man and a true friend. Gary understood the value of patience and approached every task, great or small, with humility and good humour. He had an ability to listen and guide with kindness and understanding. I will always recall his stories of attending Bible College in Caronport. He truly did become a preacher without a pulpit.

Condolence: Kathy and family ... I am so very sorry for your loss - Gary will always be the guy with the quick, easy smile and the kind word for everyone. Although I knew him from a business and not personal perspective, he has always been one of those people I truly enjoyed speaking with. Kathy, years and years ago you opened your home to me while I was working in Red Deer and the memory of this and Gary's ongoing kindness have stayed with me through the years. He has touched many people and the world is a better place for his being in it.
